$2,500 for a successful reading project that demonstrates the potential for reading improvement in K-9th grade. Ideally a school program that promotes the importance of reading and facilitates the learners' literacy development by supporting current reading research, practice, and policy.
This Foundation is interested in proposals utilizing innovative practices in K-12 education throughout the United States. Of particular interest are: Curricular and school reform initiatives as well as Preparation of and professional development opportunities for teachers, particularly those which encourage people of high ability and diverse background to enter and remain in K-12 teaching.
Grant Summary: up to $1,000; for educators with 2018-2019 program goals; to fund a specific project within schools serving all children (including students who learn differently) pre-K – 12 that integrates the arts into educational programs.
Grants of up to $500 will be awarded for projects that emphasize the involvement of students and volunteers in the establishment of a native plant community in an educational setting.
