By speaking into the Toobaloo, children hear themselves (auditory feedback) and can make adjustments to fluency, pronunciation and even increase comprehension. Children with special needs benefits from the auditory feedback process of listening to themselves read aloud.
The Zero Waste Box will benefit my Green Rangers Club. They are learning to help reduce, reuse, and recycle. They have started collecting pens, pencils, markers and caps from each classroom throughout our K-6 school. The Zero Waste Box will then be sent to the group, Teracycle, which will safely recycle the collected materials. The entire school community will benefit from helping to save the Earth.
I would like to have exercise bands for my students to use for movement while sitting in their chairs. The bands allow for students, particularly those with ADHD, to move while seated. This triggers the brain to work harder due to performing multiple tasks at once, which helps students with ADHD concentrate better. Allowing for movement while working helps students' stamina and behavior in the classroom.
Chair socks help students move seats around the classroom with ease. In class, the children spend a great deal of time moving their chairs to work with peers. The chair socks "eliminate distracting noises of shuffling chairs and are ideal to extend the life of your chairs and save your floor from unsightly scratches". They also help students to slide their chairs down the hallway for our Battle of the Books competition! Instead of lugging the heavy, metal chairs, they can simply push them.
I “wish” I could have a new set of Seatsacks for my classroom. (one for each student and for the extra chairs in the classroom)
